Fixing Monoliths & Lawn Type Memorials to the NAMM Code of Working Practice

A course for experienced masons

Date: Wednesday 5 March 2014

Venue: NAMM Training Centre, 1 Castle Mews, Rugby, CV21 2XL

The morning session of the course is designed to prepare candidates for the successful completion of the NAMM City and Guilds NPTC Assessment and will include a comprehensive study of the NAMM Code of Working Practice and how it relates to the British Standard BS8415.

There will also be an in-depth theoretical induction to what will be expected on the NAMM City and Guilds NPTC Assessment, including Health & Safety aspects leading to the generation of professional Risk Assessment documentation. The course includes comprehensive understanding of accredited ground anchors and how they are applied.

The afternoon is a practical demonstration using at least one of the accredited ground anchors. There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the demonstration.

Please note: this course is aimed at experienced masons to prepare them for the City & Guilds Assessment. However, non-experienced masons are welcome to attend to gain some understanding of the NAMM Code of Working Practice, to observe the practical demonstration and to see what is required of an experienced fixer.

Course fees: £300 + VAT per person (NAMM members: £175 + VAT)
