The Paul Hogarth Company, landscape architects, wanted an alternative to the Caithness stone used in older parts of Edinburgh for a project in the city\'s famous Princes Street shopping area. They turned to Charcon, who recently added Yorkstone paving to their range of natural stone hard landscaping products from around the world. The stone chosen for Princes Street is from Whinney Hill, near Accrington in Lancashire, which is predominantly green/blue but with a slight brown veining.
