New faces at LPE Group as year gets off to brisk start

Andrew McCallion, who has been appointed Operations Director of Breton UK.

There have been reorganisations at machinery and tools supplier LPE Group that sees Andrew McCallion appointed as Operations Director for Breton UK, one of the companies in the Group and the Italian stone machinery maker’s top performing agent in terms of sales in 2015.

The new year has begun for the Group as the old one finished, with orders rushing in. The reorganisation is to maintain emphasis firmly on the customer.

Andrew McCallion’s day to day role as Operations Director for Breton UK will be to maintain contact with customers while growing the number that have maintenance agreements with it.

With three dedicated, trained technicians across Breton UK and Comandulli UK, another of the companies in the Group, LPE is intending to give even better coverage of the UK while reducing travel time bills to customers.

Andrew has been with LPE for four years and has seen the rapid growth of the Group. He says: “Having a pivotal role in the decision making of Breton UK means I can ensure customers’ needs are being heard and acted upon… and where necessary make changes.

“The group as a whole centres on delivering exceptional customer service and I am looking forward to making sure this continues so we exceed customer expectations every time.”

LPE Tooling under Carol Rowntree has also taken on a new member of staff in salesman Paolo Dunnachie.

Laser Products Europe, which sells laser templaters, continues to go from strength under the control of Dean Bell, with strong sales of the LT 2D3D in the UK and throughout Europe.

Comandulli UK  is just about to close its first year as distributor of Comandulli edge polishers and saws in the UK. It has beaten targets and is currently working with customers to replace some older machines, which has given it good quality used machines that are being enthusiastically snapped up as soon as they become available.

Having had strong sales right up to the last operating days of 2015 (deposits for machines even coming in on New Year's Eve!) with a total of 40 machines sold across the brands, 75 Lasers and a good chunk of tooling, LPE Group has also had a flying start to 2016. "We've been busy right from the get go as there seems to be a stronger demand even than last year for new equipment," says Carl Sharkey, LPE Manaing Director.

"We have some big projects coming to fruition later this year, with more in the pipeline as we continue to work closely with the industry's biggest and most prestigious companies."
