Marmo+Mac hosts 36 companies on its stand at the USA Tise exhibition

The Marmo+Mac stand at Tise, the American surfaces exhibition, in January.

Tise, the American surfaces exhibition in Las Vegas (January 28-30) saw the Italian exhibition Marmo+Mac host a pavilion with 36 companies represented from Italy, Portugal, India, Germany, Morocco, Croatia, Bulgaria, the United States and Turkey.

Veronafiere hosts stands at various exhibitions during the year as well as running Marmo+Mac in Verona, Italy, each year.

Tise (it stands for The International Surface Event) is for sectors including natural stone, surfaces and finishing/cladding. The event was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Centre, Las Vegas.

The Marmomac Pavilion organised by Veronafiere provided an overview of the world of natural stone, from materials to accessories, equipment and services. There was also an area dedicated to training for architects designed to promote the culture of natural stone.

The Marmo+Mac pavilion included an educational project, called 'Designing with Natural Stone', for interior designers and architects. It included the presentation of 'Stone, Water and Light' presented in the Italian Stone Theatre at Marmo+Mac in Verona in 2018, an off-site tour of the Smith Center LV and a visit to companies in the pavilion curated by Vincent Marazita of Stone Trends international, who hosts the Architects Day at the Natural Stone Show in London every other year.

The United States confirmed its status as a leading reference point for natural stone exporters. Italy alone exported €185.5million-worth of stone to the USA in the first half of 2019, according to the latest figures from Confindustria Marmomacchine. Processed and semi-finished materials were the driving force behind exports. The United States also ranks first for exports of Italian machinery and equipment for processing stone materials, with sales in the six-month period valued at €62.31million.
