Feelystone Factory Officially Opened

Major Irish stonemasonry company Feelystone have officially opened the new memorial factory they built from the ashes of a devastating fire at their site in Boyle, Co Roscommon, last year (see the previous issue of NSS). The factory is completey fitted out with top-of-the-range Burkhardt Hensel machinery and Alexander Burkhardt was at the factory opening representing the owning family of the machinery manufacturers. Barry Feely, chairman of the stonemasonry business that his family have run in Boyle for more than 200 years, was host for the opening night with Michael Meaney, managing director of Feelystone. Guests, apart from Alexander Burkhardt, included Andrias Buttner, representing Budiam, the German suppliers of diamond tooling for the Hensel machines, and Graeme Robertson, from A&J Robertson (Granite) Ltd in Aberdeen.
