D Zambelis marks 20 years of serving the stone industry

D Zambelis, the company that started by selling stoneworking tools and consumables and now also represents major machinery manufacturers such as Omag, CMG, Donatoni, Achilli and Terzago, has celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The business’s first invoice was for £22.25 for six coloured glues and a spray glue. It was made out to Marbonyx, in Southend. Like most Zambelis customers, Marbonyx has stayed with the supplier, appreciating the quality of the products and the service it gets.

D Zambelis was formed by Dimitri and Stella Zambelis when Dimitri left his job as a marble worker. He determined he would only sell products that he would be happy to use himself and they would be supplied in a way to help the trade. That philosophy has never faltered.

Today, Dimitri and Stella’s children, Angelica and Jasper, are in the business with them and they all extend 20th anniversary thanks and good wishes to the industry they have supported and which has supported them.

There is no party because they have too many customers spread too far and wide to be able to entertain them all. Instead they are making some 20th anniversary offers on their products and promise a celebration at the Natural Stone Show in London 25-27 April next year.
