Sam Weller on TV after cemetery death

Sam Weller, chairman of the Association of Burial Authorities, the organisation he established, appeared on Yorkshire television after a verdict of accidental death was reached by an inquest into the death of a six-year-old boy crushed when a headstone fell on him in Harrogate Cemetery.

Following the tragedy, the child\'s parents have been campaigning to get councils to ensure cemeteries are safer places. It is a theme that Sam Weller has championed since he headed the MAB campaign.

He appeared on the television programme to explain the areas of responsibility for care and maintenance of memorials and for the safety of people in cemeteries.
