National Masonry to sell German Weha range

National Masonry are taking on the extensive range of stone handling and processing equipment and tools of German-based international wholesalers Weha.

The Weha range consists of 21,000 products across 17 product groups.

For Andy Bell, the Managing Director of National Masonry, based in Bishop Auckland, the move brings to a climactic close a year of significant coups that started with him having taken over the agency for MarmoMeccanica edge polishers.

With both machinery and consumables sales having increased significantly, Andy decided to split the two sides into separate businesses and formed Stone Machinery UK Ltd to sell machinery while National Masonry continued to sell consumables.

In another significant move in September, Stone Machinery formed a collaboration with Swedish machinery-makers ScandInvent, whose C3 and C4 CNC workcentres have proved so popular for many smaller workshops in the UK and as back-up in larger workshops.

Now comes the massive Weha range that will make a significant contribution to the materials handling and storing equipment, in particular, offered by National Masonry.

Andy Bell says the cornerstone of National Masonry’s business philosophy has always been customer service and competitive pricing. The addition of the huge arsenal of Weha products is seen by Andy and his team as a further enhancement of the services they provide to their customers.

Weha have a reputation for the high quality of their products. They are one of the biggest and best known manufacturers of materials handling equipment in the stone and granite business with products such as slab trolleys, slab racks and lifting equipment.

There will be a chance to see the latest products from National Masonry and Stone Machinery at the Natural Stone Show in ExCeL London 15-17 March. You can pre-register for the show to avoid the queues at the entrance on-line at www.stoneshow.co.uk or Tel:+44 (0)844 557 2788.
