MoD invites tenders for memorials

Ian Wilkins and Mandy Drummond from the MoD during NAMM Tradex in June when they explained what the MoD needs. The tenders to supply the memorials are now open online.

Following the Ministry of Defence (MoD) presentation at NAMM Tradex inviting tenders for the supply of stone memorials, it has now advertised its requirements for Karin Granite Memorials and Nabresina Memorials on Defence Contracts On-line (DCO) and the requirement for Portland Stone Memorials will be advertised on Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) in the next few days.

To access the Contract Notices that advertise these requirements you first have to register as a ‘supplier’ with DCO at www.contracts.mod.uk. You will then be able to search for the Contract Notices and should be able to access the supporting tender documents by clicking on 'Response Manager' and using the following access codes:

  • Portland Memorials – K56G372597
  • Karin Granite Memorials – YZN7D6GYU8
  • Nabresina Memorials – G8N85M7666

If you are interested in submitting a tender, you should read the Invitation To Tender (ITT) documents, where detailed instructions are provided on how to complete and submit a tender. You will also have to complete an on-line Suitability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) and submit it electronically through the DCO tool.

The MoD typically requires about 70 memorials a year in these stones.
