Win £1,000 in the BRAMM Memorial Design Award

2021 winner of Memorial Design Competition

This was last year's winner of the BRAMM-sponsored Memorial Design Award. Entries for this year's competition have to be submitted before the end of July.

BRAMM, a register of memorial masons who are accredited as skilled and safe installers of memorials, is once again sponsoring the Memorial Design Award as part of the Cemetery of the Year (CYA) contest.

There is a £1,000 prize for the winner, a Gold Award certificate and a press release to help the winner make the most of the publicity opportunity winning offers.

After the restrictions imposed due to the Covid pandemic since 2020, it is hoped all the CYA Awards – those for cemeteries and crematoria as well as for the memorial design – can be presented to the winners this year at a ceremony during the Institute of Cemetery & Crematorium Management (ICCM) conference in September.

Entry to the memorial design competition is free and open to any memorial mason for a memorial that has been erected in a cemetery or churchyard within the past five years. Entries will be marked on innovation, personalisation and originality – so no ogees!

Silver Awards will be presented to runners up along with a BRAMM/CYA press release to promote your work.

To enter, submit a photograph of your memorial (after obtaining permission from the family) before 31 July. No more than three memorials from any one company and each entry must be on a single grave space. But apart from that, it’s largely up to you. You can enter at www.cemeteryoftheyear.org.uk.
