New Quantra Quartz offers UV stability for use on exteriors

There’s a new quartz being introduced to the UK and Ireland by Indi Natural Stone in Watford that is specifically intended to be used as external cladding.

It is made by Pokarna in India as a Special Series of its Quantra Quartz. It is resistant to discolouration and tarnishing by ultra-violet (UV) light and to weathering, as well as stains.

The quartz is sold for worksurfaces and as tiles, but Indi Natural Stone believes as exterior cladding the material opens up new opportunities for architects, designers, retailers and fabricators.

There is a lifetime warranty on residential use of Quantra surfaces and a 10-year warranty for commercial projects.

Quantra is non-porous, homogenous, durable and resistant to scratching.

Pokarna has installed the latest versions of Breton’s plant, used universally to make quartz, with a system ‘distributor’ section that ensures uniform thickness throughout the slab. The plant also manufactures ‘veined effect’, ‘granite effect’ and ‘fiorito’ surfaces.

As well as slabs, the factory is well equipped to produces tiles to most popular sizes for use both inside and out. It also has a designated area for cut-to- size production for specific projects.

And if you like your quartz to be environmentally friendly, Pokarna says it will soon be launching a version made from resins that contain more than 50% non-food vegetable oil.

Indi Natural Stone is looking for suitable fabricators to join its dealer network in the UK and Ireland. If you are interested, call Mark Mills on 07501 530001.
