Surface care specialist Fila has launched a new RIBA-approved CPD seminar.

The new seminar, entitled ’Cleaning, Sealing & Maintaining Natural Stone Surfaces’ will assist in the specification of suitable products in terms of both the substrate and surface finish.

It also outlines the importance of correct maintenance and associated lifecycle costs. Seminars will have a standard 30minute duration, plus questions and answers, and will be available throughout the UK.

Combining a strong practical and environmental focus, Fila’s presentation will outline the correct care procedures for all natural stone surfaces in order to ensure longevity of performance and aesthetics.

Content includes an overview of different types of stone surfaces and associated cleaning products. Key cleaning stages are identified, including the essential ‘post installation’ initial clean.

The differences between water-based and solvent products is also explained in detail, as well as associated health & safety and sustainability issues, and lifecycle costs.
