Dry stone walling workshops and stone carving workshops are now available to book for the second West Cork Stone Symposium (23-25 March 2018).



Last year's event was a huge success and some of the people who attended it have already booked in to return so that they can pursue their passion for working with stone.

This time the Symposium is moving down the Sheep's Head peninsula to Kilcrohane (to show off another part of this lovely place) and the community there is planning a great welcome for those participating in this year's Symposium.

Single day tickets are available for stone carving and dry stone walling, but you can also book multiday passes so you can make the most of the expert tuition on offer.



Everyone is welcome, from beginner to expert, and the organisers are looking forward to recreating the wonderful atmosphere enjoyed in Ahakista for the first symposium last year.



Guided walks and tours on the Sheep's Head peninsula will be added to the Symposium website over the coming weeks along with finalised details of the cultural programme. It will include walks, music, talks and exhibitions.



Last year's workshops sold out entirely, so early booking is advised.
