POSTPONED West Cork Stone Symposium, Durrus, Ireland 20-22 March
The West Cork Stone Symposium has been postponed. It is hoped to hold it when the Coronavirus pandemic is over. Dates will be announced when that happens.
The dry stone walling workshops and stone carving workshops are now available to book for the fourth West Cork Stone Symposium.
Spend the weekend on the Sheep's Head peninsula in and around the village of Durrus at the head of Dunmanus Bay.
Book online, and take advantage of the multiday discount using the codes 2DayCarving, 3DayCarving, 2DayWall and 3DayWall, which will reduce your costs if you plan to spend more than one day at the event.
The festival is a non-profit event with all the craftspeople involved in presenting and instructing paid for their time.
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experts.
Guided walks and tours on the Sheep's Head peninsula will be included on the website at https://westcorkstonesymposium.com as part of a full cultural programme that also includes music, talks and exhibitions.
Last year's workshops sold out well before the start of the event, so book early.
